This weekend at our house we kept the windows wide open and snuggled under extra blankets, baked cookies and ahh, fall has finally arrived. Oh no! With less than 3 weeks until Halloween, I am sure that all the good pumpkins are gone already. I was thankful today to come across this article in the Denver Post listing Colorado Pumpkin Patches. Rock Creek has always been a favorite. Last year, unfortunately because of the early freeze, most of their pumpkin supply was ruined. We ended up at a local charity patch. It served the purpose, but the atmosphere just wasn’t the same. Maybe this year we will try Anderson Farms. Along with picking out pumpkins for carving, we’ll bake some pumpkin bread and dress our house appropriately in cobwebs and other spooky decor. Oh, we have grand plans to make the most of this weekend as it is one of the few “free” weekends through the end of the year.
Sunday night’s pre-scheduled treat. We’ll head downtown to enjoy Grease at the Buell Theater.
