The Reports of the End of the Seller’s Market Are Greatly Exaggerated…
There have been some articles in the media about the slowing of the real estate market. Most people thought the Spring market was unsustainable. And to a slight degree, it was. There were 10% fewer Washington Park closings in July than in June and it took 4 days longer, on average, to sell a house. I would not call that close to death. My opinion is that any perceived decline is rather due to the fact that so many people have waited for over a year to see loved ones or go on a vacation. I think it is likely that both potential buyers and their Realtors are taking a break. I expect all to be back at it when school starts or certainly after Labor Day.
If you have a house that you are thinking of selling, you have not missed the boat, yet. If we can help, please let us know.
